  • The final grant claim window for the Self Employed Income Support were to be made by the 30th September 2021. This was the fifth round of grant that had been available to eligible self-employed persons.
  • The end of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme support means that staff salaries are back to being fully payable by the employer, recently up to 60% of the cost of employee wages have been funded by government support. Final furlough claims must be made by 14th October.
  • The reduced 5% rate of VAT for businesses in the Hospitality and Tourism sector which has been in place since 08 July 2020 has increased to 12.5% from 1 October 2021 and is set to last until 31 March 2022.
  • The reduction in Stamp Duty Land Tax has now ended and the rates payable have returned to the pre COVID amounts/bands.
